Homeland Popping & Locking Battle 2009
The Homeland Cultural Center brought another dope event this year. Thanks to Iceman and Steam, this event was possible and was once again a great turn out. Shout out to Hiroto & Slim Boogie for winning the 2 on 2 popping battle, and Sho (little 12 year old from Japan) for winning the 1 on 1 locking.

This was such a great event. Always nice to see a free event too. Hiroto and Slim Boogie had great routines and I really liked their routine to that song The Midas Touch or whatever it’s called. JJ and Kid Boogie with those kids were both ridiculous. Devious and Lobo were sick in their battle, I wish they would have decided to unveil their tut routine, but I think they were saving it for later(not always a good strategy). Preying Mantas and Marie Poppins back to back snaking was way dope too. Lots of great dancers, good vibe, and OG judges(disagree with them or not they are qualified). My only critique would be they should get some swamp cooler fans to AC up that mug cuz it gets way hot.

Does anyone have any footage when me and Tsuto were battling? I haven’t seen one routine we did, it would mean alot if someone posted something, I would like to learn from my footage. Thanks, congrats to Slim n Hiroto
Need some advice: I’m 29 years old & a middle school teacher that still himself secretly tutting and gliding inside the classroom. What is my approach to get back into popping? Where do I go to relearn and practice? I seen much advertisement for Homeland. It looks like a sanction for youth, experienced, and veteran teachers. So I dig. But where is it?
