it is some phenomenon i cannot explain and i dont know if its just me, but when someone is animating i see a different kind dimestop than when someone is botting..even when it involves a simple up/down or side/side type of motion. there are some intricacies i notice but cant distinguish from the two. can anyone shed some light on the technique involved?

A dimestop is a dimestop. In robot they dimestop, in animation they animate.

Animation uses multiple smaller dimestops with each dimestop also having a hit or a vibration. This is a technique in of its self called animating.

Really the best thing to do is to find an animator and have him show you the technique...it has its own feel...hard to explain.

A lot of it is in your wrists, at least when youare animating your arms, so make sure you have a high level of proficiency with dimestops and forearm hits before you even attempt animation. Good drill is to hit your forearms while ticking.

Cool. Peace.
