Thats tight Geo! Try adding a shadow off the letters but only showing in the far right, off the white, to contrast it from the background maybe?

Take away that gradient in the text and use a bolder font.

sup geo! i just got back into web design as well..making a website for my dads business

im so rusty atm -_-

imo u need to get rid of the gradient in the text...it doesnt look very defined and blends into the background too much..it needs to stand out more looks too 2D atm - try black or a darker purple/blue??

i like the designs u have used around it it suits the background picture u have used - similiar theme?

just out of curiousity..
how will the content work..a transparent box or?

Thanx for the feedback guys. Yeah I think the gradient is too much. I will adjust that later, trying to slice it up in image ready and make my connections in dream weaver.

i gonna be blunt on this one but it's only to help you.

**less is more**

1. more professional font sans serif.... (futura, univers, etc) or pixel font
2. more contrast in colors
3. take away the ugly techy vectors that you made. more focus on the dope 3d graphic you made.
4. navigation either at the head or to the left
5. ditch the gradients.
6. no need for random numbers in your layout. 538.... unless thats your phone number... that concept has been used and abused.

more focus on your work! the other stuff is going to take away the power of your 3d (your strong point).

simple design is better. take a look at these guys http://www.bionic-systems.com ....they made a dope (at the time) 3d site in 2001 for the web. really techy. cool robot guy. etc..... the site got a ton of recognition for its 3d. you can see the 2001 site at the bottom of the current site.

compare it to what they have now.

here is my final ver. Funktion, that site is dope, but they are stressing to us at school to keep the font as legible as possible and keep everything to the point so people can get the info they need off us and go. If I had more time to play wif flash I might do a major overhaul wif this site but for now I am gonna stick wif this. Thanx for the feedback guys:)

I think besides what funktion had mentioned, the vertical spacing of your navigation can be tighetned up a lil bit. I also think the gradient fading into your navigation is abit distracting and harder to read.

Also, if you are trying to reach a wider audience, you should be using more copy in your homepage instead of all images for SEO purposes.

If you need any css help let me know, thats what i do all day~ 8)

Dope 3-d shit man, cant wait to see the finished product.

i think for the navigation side..
(i dont kno if ur animation/flash or not i assume it is)

make it a navigation sidebar that is hidden..and when people move the cursor to it..it will appear..

also your fonts are too wide...but with this navigation bar...this problem no longer a problem
