Come check out the monthly Voodoo Lounge events held by ONECYPHER.COM (Kill The Radio). You will definitely meet up with those into the funk.

Voodoo Lounge is a club on 2nd St in San Jose. Lots of folks from Mission College (DSPlayers) go to these (as do a bunch of us from further up into San Fran).

Playboyz are also down in San Jose.

Yo the Alum Rock Youth Center in the Eastside of San Jose is a session spot for breakers and some poppers, its a chill spot if you wanna check it out, they got sessions on Fridays from 3-6 PM, problem is there is not enough people showing up anymore to support it so they might end up closing the sessions, but the poppers and breakers are trying to keep it live while we can so I'm trying to let other people know about the spot. Aiko is in charge of it and she knows what's up with the popping and locking scene. Everyone come check it out if you get a chance, everyone is cool and welcome there...
