What would you like to see?
How should it go down?
Drop your suggestions here so kingson can get an idea of what the poppers want~

dont mix the bboy event with the popping event
more variety in music? some electro please? (but i know that aint gunna happen)
and prelims are whack.. it should be 1vs1 the whole time... (that aint gunna happen either)

I disagree Popping and bboying should be placed together.
People only see (and want) to see the bboying nowadays, its about time we mix it up so they see popping for what it really is..besides seeing too much popping gets boring..as the same with seeing too much bboying.
As for problems with the event..
i think the only problem at the jam was the length of the bboying battles and how the bboying seemed more like a priorty than the popping battles. i mean we only had about 15 poppers in our battles compared to over 60+ bboys entering in their comp. We coulda ended things quickly if our battles were placed evenly between the lengthy breaking battles.
oh and for the 1on1 final bboy battles, for 10 min. they were trying to call the other competitor who didnt even show up. Man, after 2 min. they shoulda just let the popping battles start up.
yea thats about it for me. if things dont ever go as planned there should always be a Plan B.

the only pro to having the bboy event mixed with the popping event is that the crowd would be bigger...
and you said
"the only problem at the jam was the length of the bboying battles and how the bboying seemed more like a priorty than the popping battles."
but it will always be like that, i think no matter what at every mixed jam ive been to the bboying has been the main event.. also, bboying always takes 20 times longer, cause they usually throw 2-3 different types of battles.. in this case...1vs1 crewvscrew and exibitions..plus there is a lot more arguing and drama that adds time...
to sum up what im saying.. bboying popping locking all together would be awsome, if it didnt take 12 hours...
i think the best way to do it.. is to arrange the battles in different rooms at the event..but time the battles to where the main events of each style wouldnt conflict with eachother..

I agree with all thas been said but here is my take
Bboying is the most recoginized street dance style so it brings ppls interest wether they know about popping or not, they will be like "oh lets check out the break dancers"(not really knowing the difference between popping and bboyin)
If we split poppin and bboyin to 2 separate rooms for a mass media event(ppl who arent in the scene), most likely the regular peeps will go to the bboyin room cuz thats what they know off the top of their head. I think its good exposure to be with the bboys since if we had separate rooms, we wouldnt get half the ppl to watch our battles. Its not like they wont choose to watch us, but they simply wouldnt end up there for the lack of knowledge.
They want to be entertained and so they go to what is most commonly known - Bboyin. So i think its good to have our battles with them to get the most exposure for now (until popping is good on its own and ppl can start understanding the difference). This way, we can have the general crowds attention, then give them the education and knowledge they need to know the difference from there on out. Eventually they will know the difference and from there we can get a 2nd room without losing the crowd.
They just need to juggle the time WAY better and let the poppers start first, and end it at a reasonable time, not 11 hours later.
Free top shelf liquor, premium beer, and bbq pulled pork sandwiches. and bitches (hot ones). I might go to that

thats it im going to incorporate power moves into my popping
oh and on a side note i think theyre should be an odd number of judges watching the battle.. not 2 or 4. I definitely respect the decisions made in the past jams and autocrave, but decisions are harder to make with an even numbered judging panel.
it seems to be the common thing for popping events nowadays.

i also forgot to add..
i do not mean any disrespect to anybody..
but in a battle, shouldnt there be only one winner?
how come dnoi and jetli both advanced?
ok yes they both did good..but i dunno that seemed pretty weird to me, like almost unfair, even though it probably didnt have anyhting to do with being unfair..
and then didnt it cause a three way battle also?
if it were up to me, id keep the same old rules..

ya thats true. 2 people shouldnt advance. you need to decide on a winner of the round cause its like the battle was pointless if both advance. if the judges cant decide and its even split then let the audience decide

I agree with u guys but we did have a winner. it was actually a split decision 2 judges thought dnoi took it the other 2 picked jet li. We decided on the winner but somewhere down the line (our mistake) we got the number of contestants mixed up and we thought we were in need of one more person back in the contest. since that decision with jet and dnoi was a split decision. It ended up we were right the first time and we didnt need taht extra person, but by that time we already threw both dnoi and jet li back in the comp so we ended up havving 3 at the finals. again our mistake~
