I liked some of those finger boxes, they were dope :)

I would work more on getting your style more solid and making your movements more precise and not so "lazy" feel. Your waves are getn better as well as your tuts, you understand the logic, so i think its only matter of time till master the techniques that goes with ur dope logic, and from there u really will start destroying people. 1st vid

i really liked the tuting stuff, it was trippy..

i think it would make it better if you maybe threw some basic tuts in between the complex tut combos, so your not doing too much of the same thing/same paced things.. it would break it up a lot more


2nd vid

i think the ideas were pretty awsome..

but maybe you should cut the lenth of your combos down so that way in the middle of the combo it wouldnt be so hard to remeber whats next..

instead you could mix up a buncha smaller combos, and make your stuff look different and freestyled more

3rd vid

isolation and movements were perfect... your botting is good..

for advice on small stuff i noticed
it looks like your waiting to move for the parts of the song you know...
try to switch the pace up of your botting, i noticed besides the warping, that your actual botting stayed pretty much at the same speed and pace, might wanna try to switch it up a lil, itll make you botting look more diverse..

good stuff man, i havent seen a video of you freestyling or just doing everythign together, maybe a vid of you doing a lil of everythign would be cool :]

Conrads only seen Soh once and that was at summit last year. Most of his ish hes gotten from Sam, Drew, and Me and of course his self. I learned from Soh and other ravers early on and also at homeland. So largley I am responsible for any resimblance Conrad has to Soh. I'll take the heat for that one.

I've only see Tetris at summit and at nocturnal wonderland.. mostly influences that have some similarities from Tetris who have taught me were Tuttin Mani and Geo.

i talked to Graph about this, and i feel pretty shitty that i have some similarities to Tetris's style, and how it was big accident cause i didn't know anything about tuts, bitting, and just about popping.. i was just wanted to learn. So i meet Geo, and he shows me a cause and effect set and i just took that set and made it into my style. and i know how he feels about people cloning his steez.. up here in Seattle were 100% against biting.. i been trying hard to make my stuff original as possible with some influences out there.

anyways hopefully I'll see socal scene once again in the summer and we'll kick it.

When I talked to Soh at summit he said he found it interesting to see the effects of influence on a second hand party (someone who hasnt actualy seen him) and the fact that u have taken stuff he does but due to the fact u havnt actualy seen him uve taken that stuff in a totaly dif direction. Conrad I wouldnt worry about anything as uve taken what u like and evolved it the way u like it. Im a big fan of cause and effect and so my style largly reflects that. It has heavy tet influence due to the fact the initial foundation was picked up from things he has explained to me. Overall I think the point at which I began to leave the nest was once I moved away from LA to attend school. I think u as well will continue to evolve in ur own manner. The thing I find the most interestiong is seeing that LA flaver of tuts up in seattle and I wonder how they got up there. Im guessing they were transfered via the rave scene but Im sure there was other side influences. Most of the new school cats repping up there noiw are second gen from the inital rave poppers that claimed the scene in seattle before. Those poppers have ties to LA. Im guessing LAs scene was largley influenced by soh, konfusion, rubik, soundwave, etc. They in effect were influenced by kats like Jr, Re, etc etc. K I gotta go, back to class pz.

one thing that i miss seeing that i noticed a lot of new school people dont do as much as the ogs is hit with thier tuts...

today most people jsut make quick movements and such, but nothing powerful anymore.. so i would like to add that to my critique

Def agree wif that. I noticed what seperates a lot of "rave" tutters from traditional popper tutters is the rave tutters seamlisley transition while the popper tutters utalize dime stops and hits to give the tuts a mechanical locking into place type feel. Something Tabo was showing me that I realy wanna work on is utalizing dif types of speed changes wif my transitions. There are a lot of dif types of speed controle variations and also some niffty animation techs that give the tuts more texture when they travel and stop. I think overall what governs tutting in a more broken down simplified form is the tech behind it like the way it moves, the feel, the personal charicter u present through ur tuts, and the concepts and transitions. Thats IMO though.

well what is makes hitting with your tuts good, is that you can turn your basic ass tuts into somthing crazy...

for example.. jeckle told me his tuts arent that straight, but what made his basic tuts good was that he hit with them.. and trust me it made those basic tuts fucking hard

Just curious but how do some of you guys hit your tuts? Do you use you actually hit your arms? I can sorta do it but I find it much easier (for me) to use the chest since that hit just makes your entire upper body vibrate. And flexing the arms feel a bit awkward in a lot of tutting positions.
