View Full Version : San Jose Sessions Downtown

Attention all poppers in the San Jose area and Bay Area, popping, locking, and breaking sessions are gonna be held at the Northside Community Center on 4th St and Empire St starting June 4th. Sessions are gonna be held from 6 to 8 PM every Wednesday starting from June 4th, hope you all can make it.


Plus the usual Friday sessions at the Alum Rock Youth Center from 3 to 6 will still be held.

CORRECTION! Its not on 4th street, but on 6th street and Empire St, sorry for the misinformation. Hope you can make it if you are in the area

I'm in the Bay Area and I'm new, both to popping and to this forum. I've never been to one of these sessions, and I'm thinking of coming to the Alum Rock Youth Center tomorrow.

Is there a post with more information about it?
Is it obvious where to find you guys at the Youth Center?
How many people usually show up?

Its on White Road next to James Lick High School(the high school is on the corner of White Rd and Alum Rock Rd) its a small community center but they got a nice studio and on Friday's from 3 to 6 bboys and poppers come over to practice, sometimes a lot of people will show up and sometimes it gets pretty empty, it depends on what people are doing that day really but you should come through and check it out and don't hesitate to introduce yourself. I dunno if I'm gonna show up, I got stuff to do but if I can I'll try and come through. Hope you can make it...

Unfortunately, I couldn't make it today, but I'll try to check out the Wednesday and Friday sessions next week. =)

I recently met Aiko at a recent jam and she said that she held sessions down for Thursdays now. I wanted to check if this was the update, and also wanted to know what time if so. Any additional information regarding other session dates and times would be wonderful :)

Yo sorry guys but the sessions at the Alum Rock Youth Center have now been canceled, the center wasn't supportin what we were doing so Aiko is now seeking a new venue to hold sessions. Wednesday sessions downtown are still up and running so feel free to stop by and if you have any questions leave me a PM, peace...

Man that sucks...........I do not know how long Aiko was at Alum Rock, but it seems that all she wanted to do was give to the community what no one else could. Maybe the new director has some bias towards street dancers. Its ashame also because that was such a nice venue.

Man it was such a convenience to just show up and start gettin down right on the Eastside of San Jose, such a nice venue. We had beginners comin in all the way down to OG's, Jam Patrol, Spacewalker, and thanks OG ordernchaos for droppin the true knowledge. Hopefully in due time we will get situated again but for the meantime I will be hittin up the downtown sessions, if you have any questions let me know... Peace Ali Freez
