Locking scene in Washington DC, Northern Virginia?

Hey guys, Mike here I'm new to the forum.

I'm planning on moving back to VA soon, and I started to take up locking a little bit while I've been in Montreal. I wanted to know if there are any lockers running workshops out there in the DC/NOVA area? I've scanned through the forums and haven't found anything.

Let me know, any help is gladly appreciated

the only locking head i know out there is a guy named Joe Cool. Hit him up if you can find him. He told me that other than him he doesn't really know of anyone else down there. So keep asking around.

but if you ever wanna drive up to new york i'm down to session ;D

lol i'd love to session (i do hit up nyc every now and then), but it'd be more me watching until i can find someone in the DC area to get better with. til then, youtube videos FTW!

keep working hard then. If you are interested though, bunch of dope lockers will be here in new york on july 26 for step ya game up. You should make the trip if you want to meet some really good lockers and get some good advice.

sort of scramble! i'm the same guy who's been bouncing emails with you lol, unfortunately i haven't been able to make to any of your sessions in montreal... i am in montreal til mid-august tho and i'm not that busy anymore, so if you hold a session early enough, i'd really want to at least meet with you bro

and karlo, i'm going to be in toronto that weekend :( so i can't make it.. however.. I GOT IN TOUCH WITH JOE COOL!! dude's mad chill, and it's all thanks to you man, so it looks like i found a locking scene and can continue locking when i move back to DC! so thanks a bunch bro, you don't know how much i appreciate this.. when i hit up nyc again in the future, we need to get in touch and session!

One more thing, for others who are looking for a locking scene in DC/NOVA in the future, the place that apparently most lockers go to is a studio called DC Dance Collective and the address is 4908 Wisconsin Avenue NW Washington, DC 20016

Sofunki, the DC locking info is right above, just phone DC Dance Collective and find out through their reception, there are lockers who session there regularly. Hopefully I can see you there when I start going!

You should also hit up my boy, Boogiemind from Culture Shock DC/Boogie Bots Crew. He's out here in Cali doin' the ABDC show, but once that's over, he'll be back in the DC area. He's nice with the lockin', and he's hella chill to session with. You can hit him up on Myspace...
