Alright guys a very common mistake that i and many other poppers make is that before chucking in a routine v just do freestyle poppin where we pop to the beat doin freestyling stuff
BUT the problem is that i keep repeating the same freestyle stuff.....is there a tutorial on how to do freestyle poppin where you do some set things and mixing them up creatively just looks good.....and its a good way of killing time while you think of which routine to use.

Thanks G-LuV

o.o

Dancing is how you express the music, yeah? If you make a routine, your planning how your going to express the music. In MY opinion, thats not as real as 'freestyle'... If your listening to the song thinking 'ill do this here, this there,' etc, its not showing the music in its essence.

Freestyle is hearing/predicting/moving (expressing).
In a sense, its very narrow minded to think of everything as 'moves'. Diversify it by thinking of 'styles', 'ideas' or 'concepts'..

If your a begginer, dont worry too much about repeating, as long as you feel your showing the music..

Routines aren't everything.. especially in popping.

(This is all my opinion, take what you want, leave what you dont.)

drill all that you can real slow for hours.
like tut transitions, different waves, etc.
until your body remembers all the new stuff you do.
then try freestyling again and see how muscle memory works.
