so I had this idea the other day when I was working on my city environment I am building. I thought it may be cool to put giant plates of glass or some sort of see through auto tinting material over the indents that house the windows on the buildings I am making. I havnt textured this environment yet nor have I finished modeling it but please take a look and tell me what u think about having an outer translucent shell over the windowed segments of the buildings. I was thinking not only could they tint the material when the sunlight hits it but they could also project corporate advertisment on it and maybe even run water through it.

and can you get them on a torrent site or do you have to buy the legit copies?

theres a bootleg of everything these days

3D max Stu., maya, adobe products, etc

however, i would like to say that i do not encourage piracy! it is a crime and you will do time!

be careful with maya progz, they require you to register your pc's ID online.

its been rumored that bootleggers have been caught and fined for using maya illegally.

I know people who work at autodesk and they realy dont care that the crack for maya or 3dsmax is going around. They make their big bux off corporate licences. They see it that most students cant afford a tool like maya or 3dsmax so chances are they will pirate it. However by pirating it they learn their tool and later get jobs working for larger companies that do purchase the more expensive corporate licences. pz
