i've been practicing popping for about 7-8 months now and im getting better and better. and i'm creating my own moves and style etc. but when it's "time to shine" i just forget them all lol. for example, i was practicing in my room infront of the mirror and created just a small set of moves and the next day my friend said hey, show me some popping and i just screwed it up, i wanted to do the set i practiced the other day but i just couldn't : / sure i did some popping but just the regular basic stuff like some waveing etc...it's like im getting stressed of showing the stuff that i want to :(

if anyone knows what i mean, please help me out!

peace

Yeah I know exactly what youre sayin. I had that 2 in beginning.
Try to be more open, dont think what you should do next or what he will be thinkin if I go this or that way. Just get into your usually shit and let the adrenaline control you if there aint any music to hear. And practis wherever you are!

You need to focus more on the music and just dance and start moving. Don't worry about moves, the music will (should) move you to do what ever comes to mind.

yeah what coco said... its not about remembering moves or coming up with routines, focus on a style and play with it move to the music. once you have learned that one particular style move on to the next, then blend them together. etc etc

I dunno man, it might not be the nerves.
Hypno told me in his tip video that you are supposed to dance as much in front of the mirror as away from the mirror. Maybe you've been spending too much practice time in front of the mirror and not away from it? I think this affects your moves because when your in the mirror you can see yourself and you feel natural and confident but when away from the mirror, you cannot see what yourself dance, you can only feel. In my opinion, just dance away from the mirror and work on your groove and feel, be natural.
