most of it was taken on my crappy old canon film slr

i borrowed a newer rebel xti digital slr for some of the culture shock shots, but the quality isn't much higher, just much more convenient.

for the film camera it was 500 with lens when i bought it 5 years ago, it's down to like 200 now.

the digital slr i believe goes for about 500-600 body only. another 100 bucks for the lens, or more if you want better optics.
