What should it be like?

Who should Judge?

Should there be performances?

2 on 2s?

Let us know. Lets make it happen!

A variety of dope music. I get tired of the same funk jams played over and over.

as for judging.. (I'm actually thinking about doing this for an event I will throw in the near future)

We all go to events and have a panel of OGs or old school heads judging because they know "whats up". Its a good deal for the folks who got the most skill, but not everybody in the crowd agrees with the judge's decision. There are also events where the crowd judges, but those never come to a good outcome because one of the competitors has a a bunch of homies in the audience or only utilizes trick (but lacks the technique) to win the crowd over.

I was thinking that maybe BOTH the judges (a panel of 3+) and the crowd should have rights to choose the winner (This wouldn't have to be for the whole contest but maybe for prelims and showcase etc) It'd be just more fair for the dancer who trains the hardest and entertains the most.

If either the judges or the crowd can't come to an agreement...well i haven't thought of that yet haha but for the final or semi final competitors theyd most likely have to go at it like a real cypher battle until one of em runs outta gas.. uhhh yeaa

haha yea its just an idea, just to make things more fair like checks and balances democratic style. But yea i really am thinking of doing this but id need help to make this work haha.

A performance would be great :D

I also agree with new music as well. I don't event practice to funk songs anymore cuz it does get a bit boring for me after so long. Throw in some IDM! That'll be interesting :D

I would say

DJ ROD should spin some ish, or the guys at Carbon

A good mix of Funk, Electro, House, G-Funk, Hiphop, even IDM like chau said some different shit to mix it up.

Forget the ppl who say they can and will only dance to funk music. this is 2000, shit has to evolve and get moving!

Just as long as ur doin ur stuff proper and it looks good, it should be all good. the best dancer who can adapt to any music should win.

2 on 2's would be dope too...
