i would start by praticing gliding or floating. the slide glide helped me out the mosts. more later though its getting late haha.

work on gliding/floats. look up Tiev his style is based off footwork glides. And look up guys like Kite. Boogaloo helps with footwork a lot with the heel toe action(glides use heel toe also)
footwork is what im really working hard on now a days so im on the same boat.

heal toe action all the way!!!!!
learn how to do it with one foot going in both directions (left, right)
then go both out, both in, out reversed and in reversed
then learn the running man and mess with that
also, boogaloo definately helps
and floats and glides add coolness factor but is a little more advanced

i actually haven't recently done what i'm about to tell you but i used to have to do this as a daily routine with my athletics. its called ladder drills... first you will need to purchase the exercise ladder (which i'm sure you can find online or at a local athletic store possibly). http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/ladder-agility-drills.html that website can help you with the different drills used with this product. it increases balance, cordination, speed, quickness and agility... hope this helps

I'm really cheap, and really broke... If it's not the flea market, then I'mma hit up Target, or Walmart... lol :-) ...and check those soles to see if they're slick enough or have the necessary grip too...
