Ron Artest will sign with Lakers!
ATLANTA (SI.com) -- The Los Angeles Lakers are close to reaching an agreement with Houston forward Ron Artest, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Artest, an unrestricted free agent, is expected to agree to terms Thursday after spending the day meeting with Lakers executives.
CBS Sports.com's Ken Berger is also reporting Ron Artest is poised to sign with the Lakers.
"I'm definitely going to L.A. -- to sign, yeah," Artest said. "Lakers, Lakers, Lakers. I'm in L.A. right now."
Artest, 29, averaged 17.1 points per game last season with Houston.

I will miss Ariza, As long as Odom resigns then LA will definetly be a better team then last year. I love the Clippers too, I hope everyone's healthy this year, I would like to see them sneak into the playoffs

I think it was a smart move by LA.

Ron ron is one of the best defenders in the NBA, plus his offensive skills are more polished then Ariza's right now. I just hope he doesn't jack up bad shots all day, since he has a tendancy to do that.

If things go well, the lakers may have another dynasty on their hands :)

artest is experienced both on O n D, it will take a few more seasons for ariza to develop...phil knows whats up.

Odom might be leaving to. He's taking the highest bidder right now. I wouldnt pay more than 9 for his punk ass. If he still wants to leave, fuck em.
