Only 3 weeks into poppin' but i'm struggling with my elbow in the arm wave. Anyone else have this problem and how did they fix it? Basically everything else looks good, but I'm stuck on getting my elbow looking right

this is what Tabo taught me
Grab onto a wall, pole, desk, chair (anything u can grab thats stationary) and what you do is turn your elbow 180.
So picture this
your left arm is holding onto the desk -
elbow facing the ground (the crease of your arm facing up)
now
turn your elbow so now the elbow is somewhat facing up towards the ceiling (keep in mind, you are still grabbing onto the desk)
get used to this elbow rotation
now when ur ready for the challenge...
you let go of the desk
and do the same exact motion - Rotate your elbow BUT ISOLATE YOUR HAND SO YOUR HAND IS NOT MOVING **thats the key** this is the isolation practice
so in conclusion:
rotate your elbow without moving your hands or shoulders, when u get this down you are ready for the elbow rotation in your waving.
hope this helps, sorry im not very good at explaining haha

haha yup thats what tetris taught me.
good thing too cuz it helps it look wayyyy clean.
its tricky to get i noticed if your have bulky arms. like not if your fat but if you have lots of muscle on your arms ive noticed its harder to do it because you cant focus on the muscle you need to rotate.
but yeah grab onto a desk/wall/pole and twist your arm. then work on it w/o a desk/wall/pole.
good luck.
peace.
