Hi all,

Not sure if i posted in the appropriate section but i need some ideas of how to groove. I've tried to seaching on the net but can't find much useful info. I have just start doing some hip hop classes and i feel i am too stiff i can't seem to relax my body. I am thinking about starting to do some locking but i need to develop on my groove first. Do you have any exercises how to develop groove? Is there any videos of this. I try freestyle when i can. Also do you know any good footwork that would me out.

Thanks.

Practice some two steps.

Rocking back and forth, side to side, shrugging, swaying, shake, dipping, and bouncing.

That rocking people do at parties when they don't necessarily have "moves" or do a style.

That's grooving.

All to the rhythm!

They're might be a pattern, which you could catch onto perhaps or learn from them by look at how this fret and this fret are usually played back to back and sound really well or whatever
