New to this forum

What's up guys. I am new to this forum (well have visited here once or twice) but not new to popping. I have been popping for like 4 years now but I was self taught...which I don't think was that great (compared to learning from someone else) because I was told I need to work on basics again (like hitting harder and cleaner arm waves) from another fellow popper this year. I definitely have a long way to go and lot of work ahead of me.

But yeah, I actually have a question to consult you fellow poppers on. I am currently involved in a bboy club at my college (I go to UC Irvine...if anyone on here goes there, that will be awesome) and I seem to have trouble feeling the beat sometimes when it comes to dancing in cyphers. When I am sessioning by myself, I feel the music just fine (like I just let the music carry me) but then in a cypher, it's like I just tense up and not dance as well and the music no longer carries me when I am dancing. What are your guy's input on that?

Btw, if I posted this in the wrong forum...sorry.

Mang, ive been like popping for almost 9 month now, yes, i kinda no the term 'feel the music and dance along with it' but like my free style dont even look like popping. it just looks like a rabbit rushing to get its carrot. it look nothing like it.

srsly. i dont no.. is there like a way to practice 'coming up with moves and angels that looks like popping?'

also, i dance at home, try to making even 4 counts of eight, its pwitty much trouble all the way.
