So I need some advice on ground work. Im not new to poppin, but Recently after reviewing some footage I realized I need to incorporate more levels and learn some ground moves. My problem is that Im 25 and losing my elasticity of youth. When I make an attempt I always feel like Im gonna blow out my knees or something. So im just wondering what the best technique for beginning ground moves safely would be if there is such a thing. It also hurts my knees on the hard ground, do people wear pads like some breakers, or do your knees toughen up over time?

not wearing knee pads is stupidity. You'll def need need surgery if you do that. Some pretty big names have blown out their knees doing that.

I don't personally wear knee pads, but I'm usually not spending much time on the ground or doing anything explosive. What has helped me a lot is strengthening the muscles of my legs. Doing squats, lunges, etc. So whenever I hit the ground I never drop on my knees but lower myself with my thighs& leg muscles (if that makes sense). If your worried about your knees just maintain control when hitting the ground. Ground moves don't have to be explosive or dangerous if you don't want to risk injury

That makes sense. I need to do some squats and wear pads in the meantime. i tend to lose balance and strength at some point on my way low and thats when Im worried ill bust my knees.

You're 25 and you consider yourself old. You're joking right...?
