whenever i hit, usually with my chest, i automatically hit with my knees + muscle above the knees (top of hamstring?) as well. its gotten to the point where i almost CANNOT hit with my chest only. its like muscle memory how when i try hitting with the chest i end up hitting chest + knees. its like a small sharp forward knee hit and i flex my leg muscles

question is..should i stop? is learning how to hit with the chest only greatly beneficial? i noticed that whenever i include the knee hit its a very sharp hard hit so i kind of continued doing it..

Some people like to do it others don't. If you feel comfortable doing it and feel like your hits are harder that way, then continue. When I did it I felt like I couldn't do other things and was stuck to just be upright. Know what I meanzies. But yeah, if you feel comfortable, continue doing it.

You're trying to give the illusion of being a robot. Robot's movements are determined by programing and mechanics, they are purposeful. To demonstrate to an audience that you are doing something on purpose you need to be able to break a movement down and put it back together in front of them. You will not be able to do this if you are moving by habit rather than choice.
