hi all, I have been practicing Locking for a while. My moves are there, but I find my moves have zero connection with funk music. The music usually has light beats and locking moves are not that clear on beats for me too. I have no idea when to do what move, I am like almost deaf. For popping, I can really catch beats easily, but locking just gives me a headache. Can someone plz help me with this?

btw this is my first post, this forum is really nice. Really appreciate people who help.

hey man,

check out Moncel aka Ill Cosby from Illadelph, hes got mad musicality in all his styles he is a very strong locker and house dancer. Watch how when he teaches class nothing is off beat. I think he actually lectures at colleges on musicality.

the second clip is him talking a bit about musicality and then demoing it at a show.
