- Ready to bring the midwest into tha picture, I've been at it since 1979' when my homie JimBo(R.I.P.) showed the Backslide,TwistoFlex, Oldman,& some Scarecrow it reminded me of what I used watch on the Shields & Yarnell show but funkier & I was hooked I started looking at "Soul Train" seeing "the Electric Boogaloos", Jefferey"the PopAlongKid" Daniels,& whoever else appeared on the show dancing it made me A hit at the 6th grade sock hop, at little league baseball game, & at A church fashion show & dance battles at school up to about 82', 1983 after Micheal Jackson's performance on "Motown25", "FlashDance", Breaking-N-Entering Documentry on ONTV , & countless other TV& music video shows everybody became open to it & I started doing shows , my associations with crews vary from bieng the designated popper most of the time ,here's to name A few Ocean Boyz(preppy dance crew craze that was to later become House & Juke dancing,don't ask me why when live near lake Michigan.), Calumet H.S.
