Default Transformer hands

I've had a few people who wanted me to do my hands on tape again.

It's harder than it looks, that's why I'm sitting there with a blank look on my face haha. Gotta concentrate. Anyways I read in another thread people aren't seeing anything new anymore. I think some of my concepts are pretty fresh... anyways enjoy.

This is probably the right thread to drop this monster.

I don't really have any knowledge of digitz but this guy is pretty mind blowing.

Sifi is dope. His liquid clips are some of the best I've ever seen.

I remember Graph showed me a better one where some dude was incorporating knuckle waves and finger waves.

But the intention is way different. Stacking is like, I guess, some sort of sign language. My intention is to morph geometric shapes. That's why I said it's something newer.

But if you go back with any movement you'll find it somewhere else before in a different place and culture. Hindu's use hand movements also, called mudra. Even seen old rave videos from the uk with dudes making hand shapes.

It's just like with the wave. You'll find it in ancient african dance, european mime, and middle eastern bellydance. All vastly different intentions to the undulation also.... but the same movement. And that undulation has a different intention in popping.

So I should say the context of movement is new, if that makes sense.

I almost passed this whole topic up cause I thought this was going to be some fingertut footage and I just can't stand when I'm like behind the dude throwing them so I don't get to see shit....or if I'm out in an audience and someone is doing that while the rest of the folks are oozing all over themselves, I'm still like WTF did I miss....damn I need fkn binoculars or someshit cause I hate missing out....

But YOU!!! Whoah!!

I saw ALL that!! That was pretty freaking TITE!!!

lol the weird things about my hands is that they're average... I think. I don't go around looking at other people's hands to compare haha. I'm a little over 6ft tall but my hands aren't big enough to palm a basketball.

When ever someone executes certain types of fingerwaves it can make their hands appear larger. It's an illusion of sorts. Like in that one clasped fingerwave I offset my hands to make them appear larger.

I like to use some uncanny aspects in my dance to distort the viewers reality. One of my main inspirations for trying to make my hands appear larger was David Byrne's suit in "Stop Making Sense". That movie has some cool dancing in it. But, anyways, he made a suit larger than his body to make his head appear smaller.

he talks about it in this weird ass interview haha:
