Default Problem with Musicality.

I know there's already been threads about being on beat or about musicality before but I'm looking at a video now.

I haven't really been following Slick Dogg, but I just saw this video to see what's up and it's left me somewhat insecure about my dancing.

Especially when I can't really see what's wrong with what he's berating. Like I can't really tell the difference between the way he does it and the way he says it shouldn't be done. Honestly it all looks on beat to me because the bass and snares are being hit. It looks like he's just hitting another layer of beats on top of the bass and snare. It seems like the only difference is he just hits harder to the bass and snare than to the other parts of the song in the way he says it's supposed to be done.

So can somebody elaborate.

Only skipped through parts of this video. Basically, he could have summed it up in just a few sentences. What he is talking about is beat catching. Staying on the boom/clap/hats beat pattern, and waiting for the next part of the song, to continue your movement.

Okay nevermind I got it now.

He's just bad at explaining it.

Having more than one rhythm going on at one time.
