Devious did a great job here, I was expecting Pacman to win, but I think that Devious took that. Pacman seemed shook and I will say that his freestyle here was not at the same level as his choreographed performances.

I thought Pac Man was going to destroy Devious. Not just win, but beat him in every way. I've seen Pac Man's flow, difficulty of movement, and crowd pleasers, he's one of the hardest poppers/hip-hop choreo dancers there is.

Watching the video, Devious had charisma, made a connection with the crowd, improvised and worked with the situation, looked like he was having fun, and had confidence that Pac Man didn't. Devious took the audience into his world. Pac Man's isolations and versatility is amazing, but he didn't draw out his moves and tell a story with them. It was more like one after the other. Few poppers could do the stuff that Pac Man was pulling out. His style of technique and blow-ups would beat most poppers in 2 rounds...But with a person with skill and charisma like Devious, more is needed.

I also expected Pac Man to have more stage presence since he's been on tour with SYTYCD for a minute.

Pac Man's moves were more difficult, but Devious was more entertaining.
It seems that GStyle people have a type of swag that gives the appearance that they've already won the battle before they've even done a move. If a person is a battler or stage performer, this is priceless.

where is the HIPHOP that Pacman is doing?i don't see it...i see a lot of waving,& isolation...i didn't see ANY hiphop....i agree with Derrick...Pacman seemed to be rushing to pull out his moves...Devious looked like he enjoyed DANCING more...i don't agree he was more entertaining though....but his vibe was definitley better...props to both...peace

I kinda think dude was mistaking hip hop "style" for actual dance. I might not be able to make sense here, but Pac's been working on a bunch of different dances, right? And that's influenced his popping. Which is good. I don't see his sets as Hip Hop but his swag or style or whatever is the best word to describe this has a Hip hop feel. Maybe that doesn't make sense.

Also, because Devious has a sort of hood swagger to his shit it kinda makes Pacman's style more glaring. Again I don't think it's a bad thing but I kinda feel like there's a "hip hop dance" flavor to Pac Man.

That was probably retarded.

Said it best! Devious is superior when it comes to battle tactics, Pac-Man not so much! To me Devious won on all levels, it's just that his battle tactics overwhelmed Pac and the whole battle session!

i don't get the HOOD swagger thing...in that HipHop IS hood!i understand what your referencing in the *dance influence*...but i think that's a big problem with poppers...they can pop...but can't "dance"...& now it seems that if you "dance" when your poppin...it's hiphop!lol.....

I think both did well, Pacman had a lot of moves...I actually wish he danced MORE. Devious...its crazy because his knee was blown out...I know how that is, its almost impossible to dance. The fact he went full out like that on a bad knee shows me how much fire he has inside him. I give it to up to Devious for representing the culture still...and battling someone who has built a following off of TV, and studios.

I have a lot of respect for Pacman AS A DANCER (he knows this), but he skipped a big part of his growth in this POPPING dance...I dont think he ever won a battle, or battled anyone dope in the Popping scene, and now he is more on the Studio tip now...I havent seen him in a circle with poppers in years.

Devious came in representing the exact opposite.

I give an edge to Pacman because his range of movement and execution was cleaner he was the better dancer...he needed to battle harder though...he did answer Devious with some things...but not enough. Devious was the better battler by far.
