not sure there is anyone that can touch him on advanced boogaloo. still the most complex overall in that style.
i've gone through periods of thinking that there are some new schoolers that can touch him. but he does things like this and reminds me he's pretty much untouchable in his field.

and by the way, iron mike and franquey model their dancing after pete. i notice franquey puts some house flavor into his popping it seems. at least it seems.
i remember in one clip franquey was wearing your canadian tuxedo (jeans jacket, jeans pants) and eye glasses. an exact outfit i've seen pete wearing. and in that clip, his dancing was so much another version of pete. a very high ass level though. that's for sure. in other clips, he has more of his own flavor though. it's funny to be able to turn the pete emulation knob on and off like that.

I'm a beginner so that's why i'm asking this: what is so incredible in his dance at this show? I've seen him do some stuff that just blow my mind, but at this show his moves seemed to simplistic for me. Could you explain to me what is so incredible in this particular show besides his hard hits, cause I'm clearly missing the point?

ok, there are a couple different approaches to dancing.
chadd, for example might do a basic movement, but it's the perfection that makes it so great. pete is doing so much at once. always action. but not in an incomplete way. he puts on the layers. oftentimes, when someone has a lot of action going on w/ many parts of the body it is too much. but, when done right, it is nice. i don't know how to completely put it in words. for pete, a big thing is the feet are always moving. there's never a 1,2 concept. it's a constant flow that is freaking the beat. other people who i think are good examples are legend when he battles mike watson. popula in the abm tutorial dvd where he's soloing. and jazzy and frank boogie. i watched hoan vs. kyo. and i noticed high level but not the in between where there is all this beat freaking w/ the feet. the constant movement w/ the feet is just one approach, but when done nicely, rips apart the music in a very aggressive way.
