COngrats to MGF and Lockadelic/Scramblelock !!

MGF vs Kleen house was DOPE.

Frantick like always ripped shit up.

J5 and Slim boog made everyone scream.

MGF trippeed everyone out with their routines.

Jr Boogaloo was DOPE.

TEMPO VS LEGEND WAS DOOOOOPEEE!! (20 + rounds????)

Bopn Andre was DOPE.

HUgo was DOPE.

Soulbotics brought that ish HARD as hell. Solos were on point!!

Homeland represented!

Japanese crews killed it as well!!

Groovy G's pleasure meeting all of you. You guys worked your asses off battling 2ice of your crew size against Kleen house. Props!

All the crews who entered ripped it.

Although it was way overpriced and the Poppers/lockers got shysted once again on carpet and short amounts of time.

I was hoping FSS this year was gna be huge but it was kinda small in my opinion.

Congrats to the winners and all i witnessed getn down this weekend.

I had a pretty good time at FSS this year. My biggest complaint has to be the insane amount of money it cost to get in this year.

There was a little bit of sound bleed coming into the funk closet while those in the auditorium had a full on sound system at maximum overkill volume. Oh yeah and there was no dance floor, there was carpet, YAY!

Now onto da sweet stuffz....

Jr. Boogaloo was blowing me away every time i saw him get down!

Bopn Andre was entertaining the circles for a while today, that was fun to watch!

Meeting up with Professa (NY homie that does the flexin style) was fun. Sick floats and glides! Look out for that kid, he's only 17 dayyyuumm!

Soulbotics vs. MGF....i don't think i blinked through the battle. it was such a close battle that i couldn't choose who I thought won. It ended up going to MGF, but either way I would have been happy with the decision, it was a sick battle!

Kleenhouse vs. MGF...despite the time getting cut kinda short on the battle, I was impressed by just about everything i saw. Toshi popping on the homies backs was crazy!! That invisible group picture frantick took of kleenhouse had me laughin so hard! That was a sick idea! Both crews came very hard so much respect to them both! and Congrats to MGF on the win!

Legend vs. Tempo.....whhhhatt the hell was goin on? Tempo was rippin some mad gstyle flavor in that battle. I counted like 16 rounds each, there were probably more than that! Truly an epic battle, and completely unexpected.

Hectorius from up in Canada! Nice to meet you man! Keep on workin at that animation style ish! Gonna be nastay!

Kicked it with so many people through the course of the 2 days so I know i have left somethings out of this, but whatever, if it comes to me it comes to me.

Oh yeah once again congrats to MGF for the win and also to Lock-a-delic and Scramblelock in the locking battles!

I had a lot of fun at fss 10.
I can't beleive they gave it to zulu kings I thought gamblerz took it man. 40 bucks a day kinda sucked tho.
I really love the crew with popping john random and pop n tod they were really dope against mgf.
I remember getting in a circle with legend and groovy g's.
They were pretty sick and they seemed young too.
I recognized a few people too, a lot of really dope poppers came.
Hugo was really dope, I saw shoon boog and aja there too.

anyone know of any of the groovy g's?

dnoi, i remember there being a cameraman filming the prelims but never noticed anyone during the semis. i was a little busy trying to get a good spot haha

since its rare seeing more than 5 poppers or even a few lockers in the same room where i'm from, i had an amazing time.

it totally sucked that d-lock injured her knee in the locking showcase....i would've loved to have seen a culture shock and lockaholics anonymous final. she still killed it while sitting in the chair though.

the battle between tempo and legend....all i gotta say about that is WOW!

the final between mgf and kleen house was dope. frantick, tronik, slim boog and johnny 5 were my favourites from kleen house. mgf's routines were nuts as always.

seeing boardman, slick dogg, bopn andre and jr boogaloo get down was a great time all in itself.

tetris, it was nice meeting u. watching u and jr boogaloo tut totally blew my mind.

hmmmm last but certainly not least....groovy g's repped HARD for us canadians. 3 guys taking a crew of 8 in kleen house and u guys still held it down. much respect to u guys.

last but not least, congrats to mgf and scramblelock and lockadelic.

On a real, y'all, I gotta say something:

I congratulate Lockaholics Anonymous, and I give much respect to the Funky Players (my homies from Japan, Momo and Wakui), but my girls from Culture Shock LOS ANGELES (there's more than one Culture Shock in the US), Sunny D-Lock and Jimini, should've been in the final battle. It was only due to D-Lock's injury that they were taken out of the finals--but they straight KILLED it! Their routines were FLAWLESS and hugely entertaining... We even saw Loose Caboose bugging out while they were dancing and he has like the biggest poker-face expression while judging.

And yeah, D-lock going at it in the chair while in PAIN was pretty crazy. By the way, just so everyone knows: she's ok. She only strained a ligament; there were no tears, so she won't need any surgery. She just needs to let her knee rest a bit.

Besides that, I thought that the popping battles were dope, esp. MGF vs. Westwood, MGF vs. Soulbotics and the final, MGF vs. Kleen House.

However, people NEED to start coming to CREW battles WITH ROUTINES!!!! The whole point of a crew battle or a 2x2 is to show that you can work AS A TEAM. And honestly, that's why MGF ruled the comp.: they had CRAZY CRAZY CAAAAAARAAAAAAAAAZY ROUTINES!!! They didn't just rely on the strength of a few soloists to carry the weight of the team--they worked as a unit...

My BIGGEST COMPLAINT about the event was: THERE WERE NO PRELIMINARY ROUNDS. I know there weren't a ton of competitors, but they should've done prelims to put the groups in better brackets. For example, I felt bad for the Westwood guys, b/c they were hella hard, but they were in the first round against MGF and so they got knocked out. Whereas if they had had a qualifying round, some of the other groups that weren't as good could've been eliminated so that the best groups could battle each other w/o having to go against those groups that weren't so prepared.

oh well, just my opinion...

I was really surprised and happy with the Locking competition though. The scene is definitely growing. I really dig Takashi from Japan; he's a dope-ass locker...

We need to have a "Upright Styles" or "Funkstyles" only event... kinda like the Homeland Jam, but bigger...

it was real cool though...
